  • I grew up with a zoo of pets—from hamsters to horses, I get along with creatures of all shapes and sizes! I’ve raised, adopted, and trained enough pets that I feel confident I can adapt to the needs of any animal. I know how to hold my own with big animals that push boundaries but I'm gentle and patient with anxious pets. Caring for animals has been a core part of my life for as long as I can remember.

You can expect to get a lot of pictures and daily updates when I'm housesitting and caring for your pet. I love to keep in contact and keep pet owners in the loop on how their fur child is doing, because I know that's what I'd want!

When caring for pets in your home, I’ll ask about all of the rules that your pet follows at home, and how your pet likes to play at home. My goal will be to accomplish your goals—you have a high energy puppy that doesn’t sleep at night? I’ll wear them out with endless rounds of fetch. Do you have an older cat who just wants to be bothered as little as possible? They won’t even notice I’m there, but you’ll feel good knowing I am.

The Pet Parade is my full time job, in addition to a few other plates I have spinning—graduate school (MBA) and working in Chicago’s bustling live theater scene as a manager. In all of my jobs I am my own boss and in charge of my own schedule, so I can be extremely flexible to your pet's routine. I also own and drive a car which means I can be available for last-minute drop ins!

  • I’ve grown up with pets since I was an infant. From packs of labs, fish and turtles, to cats with questionable morals! Ive had the pleasure to help raise, train, and nurture over 20 furry (and scaly) friends and hope that I can do the same for your pet!

I’m a strong proponent of consistency and feeling comfortable in my own space, so I work with my clients comfort and routine in mind. After discussing what the clients and pets routines look like, I stick to their guidelines as pet parents know their baby’s best. In my experience, every pet has different needs, so I’ll accommodate.

Please let me know what a usual day for your pet looks like, I know consistency is key, so I will model my behavior offer yours. If they are taking medicine, have a certain food time routine, etc, let me know and I’ll make sure to abide by that!

Depending on the activity level and age of the pet, I will take the pets on long walks usually in less active areas so we can get rid of distractions, parks are always a bonus depending on location. When weather is an issue, toys, fetch, and tug of war is a go to, but depending on the pets routine, I always adjust.
